Take the Pura Max 2 for a mid-sized adult cat on a hard floor, and for the documentation: PETKIT publishes the entry height, the internal diameter and the weight range, which is what tells you in advance whether your cat fits.
Take the M1 Lite for a large cat, a nervous one, or any cat moving straight off a manual tray. The open top is the shape they accept, and the 11-litre bin is the largest here.

Common enough that the open design exists. A cat that has always used an open tray sees a drum as a tunnel with a moving floor, and refusal is the most expensive outcome in this category.
